The award was presented at the Biomethane Congress, which brought together industry, public administration, municipalities and investors interested in growing the biogas and biomethane market in Poland.

Magazyn Biomasa awards

Awards granted by Magazyn Biomasa are a regular feature of the leading industry events organised by the publisher of "Rynek Biogazu i Biometanu". They go to people, companies and institutions that genuinely support the development of the Polish biogas and biomethane sector — through investments, innovation, education, promotion of best practice and building awareness of new solutions for energy and waste management.

"Biomethane Promoter" category

The "Biomethane Promoter" award goes to entities that not only develop investment projects but also actively show what biomethane means in practice for local governments, agriculture, local industry and the energy transition. The award for Galia Green Power highlights the company's role in shaping the Polish biomethane market and its consistent work to make this technology better known as a modern, safe and effective way of managing biowaste.

This is an important recognition for us, because biomethane today needs not only investors, but also promoters: people and organisations who can explain why this technology matters for local energy, agriculture and the country's energy security. Beyond financing and the right regulatory environment, the biomethane market also needs awareness building, especially at the local level. We want to show that a biomethane plant is a modern, safe and beneficial way of managing biowaste in a municipality — whether it comes from residents, farmers or local food processing. With rising waste-management costs, it is one of the most effective directions and a model example of a circular economy, where local waste becomes a feedstock for energy and a natural fertiliser.

About Galia Green Power

Galia Green Power is a fast-growing investor in the biogas and biomethane sector, founded two years ago by experts in energy, district heating and biogas. From day one, the company has been building its position in the Polish biomethane market, combining the experience of a Polish team with the European know-how of Eiffel Investment Group — an international investor specialising in financing renewable energy projects.

Galia Green Power's strategy rests on developing two areas in parallel: acquiring existing biogas projects and converting them to biomethane production, and developing new greenfield investments.

The company currently manages two biogas plants: in Iłówiec Wielki (Wielkopolskie Voivodship) and Drzonowo (Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship), and is actively expanding its pipeline of new biomethane projects across Poland — responding to the growing role of biomethane in the national energy transition and the local circular economy.

The "Biomethane Promoter" award confirms that Galia Green Power's work is recognised not only as investment projects, but also as part of a broader shift in how we think about energy, waste and local development.
