An agricultural biogas plant generating heat and electricity in cogeneration.
About the project
Agricultural biogas plant being upgraded for biomethane production
About the project
The Drzonowo biogas plant, located in the Kołobrzeg municipality, joined the Galia Green Power portfolio in 2025. After the acquisition, the installation was modernised and currently runs on biowaste and feedstock sourced from the region.
The plant generates electricity and heat in cogeneration. It supplies the power grid with around 8,000 MWh of electricity per year.

Feedstock
By using waste from nearby farms and processing plants, the installation supports the local circular economy.
Galia Drzonowo turns local biowaste into natural organic fertiliser — digestate.
Our feedstock mix includes:
- sugar-beet pulp
- maize silage
- distillery stillage
- fats from separation processes
- animal by-products
- selected sludges from industrial wastewater treatment
